Pete Moss-Recline Records-Philly
Following his humble beginnings providing soundtracks for sunrises up and down the East Coast, Pete Moss settled himself down in Philly, a city with a warm reception to the soulful sounds of his selections. Having gathered gear along the way, he focused intently on production and gained encouragement and inspiration form the musical clan that existed there which included the likes of King Britt, Josh Wink, and the whole Ovum cast & crew (who were smart and savvy enough to snatch up any releases they could by their new found neighbor). Pete developed into one of dance music's finest talents and reminds us constantly with his late night sets and soulful and impeccable production skills.
While churning out music Moss somehow manages to run his Philadelphia based record labels Recline Records and Straight Shot, while traveling everywhere from Hawaii to Portugal. A brilliant producer, an unforgettable DJ, and an industry leader behind a rising domestic label.
Skinny Friedman-Young Robots- Philadelphyinz-N.Y.
With a decade of experience and moderate ADHD, Skinny Friedman's trademark is his ability to span genres in both his sets and his production. After cutting his teeth in the St. Louis hip-hop scene in college, Skinny returned east to start the anything-goes Philadelphyinz party in Philadelphia with DJ Apt One. The duo built their name mixing rap hits, house classics and weird rare disco into something coherent. Philadelphyinz is in its sixth year, and the duo also run a monthly at Philly's Silk City Diner. In New York, Skinny and Sammy Bananas (Fools Gold/Telephoned) do the bi-monthly Players Club party at Pianos, which the Village Voice named "best off-night party."
Skinny also travels frequently, picking up gigs in over 20 cities across the country and making his European debut in Norway in August. He has shared stages with Tittsworth, Das Racist, Wale, Juan Maclean, Cosmo Baker, Treasure Fingers, XXXChange and recent Maybach Music signee Stalley. He has also toured as rapper Izza Kizza’s DJ and put together mixes for Shade 45 Radio, Scion Radio, Discobelle and DJ Shadow’s Quanuum Projects label. His latest mix, "( . Y . )" was named MTV's "Mix of the Week."
As a producer, Skinny Friedman's ability to weave pop gems, dubstep wobbles and ignorant rap with the quickly-growing moombahton genre has earned him acclaim. His tracks have seen support from Diplo, Sinden, Starkey, Nick Catchdubs, Dave Nada, N.A.S.A., DJ Ayres and Dillon Francis. He is also a co-founder and A&R for Young Robots Records.
