JUNGLE DRUMMER (UK) (midnight-1)This is live drum and bass as you've never experienced before. Featuring the Jungle Drummer a unique live performer who has developed his own style through his musical awareness and experience, from ten years of playing with the biggest live acts in Turntablism, dance music and D&B. His stamina makes him able to drum at 180 BPM for 2 hours plus and his all out approach understanding of DJ culture, technical ability make him stand out on his own as a live drummer. DJ Fu is fast becoming one of the rising stars of D&B and Turntablism. Due to his musicality, tight mixing and scratching ability. His approach, originality and skills when working with the jungle drummer has not only taken his DJ-ing to another level but has evolved into one of the most successful drummer DJ combinations yet. In less than 2 years he has gone from being a resident at local nights to playing some of the biggest events in the world. Put this together and you get jungle vs fu a live project that is always developing, pushing boundaries, smashing crowds all over the UK, Europe and the USA.

He can play the most complex of jungle, drum'n'bass and breakbeats utilizing no loops and no extended samples -only his two hands and two feet. If you can catch him in the right moment –live, at a show, or in a studio session- you’ll witness him perform each and every 808 bass kick, snare slap, and compressed highhat tick himself, in real-time.
“I’d like to be able to play like that all the time, however, live, I want to give the people the fully-produced, complex sound I’m envisioning, so I not only play the drums, but I manually trigger the basslines, melodies, riffs and now even the light show and projections with my drums –so it’s a lot harder to focus on playing every single little single sound with my sticks. But it’s like I’m playing even more with my sticks lately, not less.”

i know this sounds like some hippy shit, but you should have anthony fugate play and let people who have bongos and shit to come and drum out to it. drum circle style. i think it could be cool. maybe do this a little early since t has the possibilty of sucking.

This party is gonna feature almost entirely new acts that have never played one of our parties, minus kj or course, robbie pulled the rickys best friend card lol u have to love his energy and sets though, and ricky remixed a nice nate track, those are the only exceptions so far.

If this turns out to be true and said acts are quality I will be happy to give you my cash. I hope you are also looking at NON local acts that are new to us.
You have the ability to book some of the biggest headliners this city has seen in some time. Don't fuck it up by filling your line up w/63 people that live w/in 30 miles of me.
Please. I beg you. 2 Giant head liners. 4? maybe? The rest filler. And not 400 filler.

When i have a gig i practise harder than ever, with gigs the local talent is forced to make more time to practice and have to perfect for the stage, thus on the way to becoming headliners, someone told me pittsburgh needs more exports, big pricey imports can kill with one party, i agree with you both, there could be at least 2 more headliners in place of local talent budget, try to balence them. Your right though i mean ricky skullcrusher is technically a headliner, that 3-4 slot is full and i wouldn't pick anybody over him to play it right now. Everybody has been talking up sega, 2 people in 2 different states where like you gotta book sega, wouldn't pick anybody over him to play from 1-2, kj sawka ever since he played everyone is like when is he coming back wouldn't pick anybody over him to play from 2-3. We have Terry mullan living right here now, never played a big party in pitt yet, he is billed second headliner right after dj dan in detroit. Thats 4 headliners right there for this one. Your right though we need everything every other city has, we wanna see everybody, i want djsneak ,crookers, dj fu & jungle drummer, chase & status, be patient baby, patience is not my virtue either lol.

Bring me new, hard DNB and I will be a happy camper. Honestly I complain about the shit you fuck up, but at least you are sorta trying. Pittsburgh is a hard city to do anything with. You get +3 respect for keeping it up and bringing in talent. You lose 2 pts for bringing in the same talent. You gain 2 pts for booking some newbs. You lose 4 pts for the way some kids act at your parties. I know you get flux security.. but you need to let them be harsh. Give them guns and tazers and knives.
All in all, keep it up. I'm still gonna bitch when you fuck up, but I'll pat you on the back when you get it right. I think that's how a lot of people feel.

I know Kj Sawka was here before, when you book someone, u usually don't bring them back for a yr or 2 later, if ever again, but when everyone bugs you like,"when are u bringing kj back" then u gotta bring them back, he has blown up canceled the last 2 dates cause of european tours, and recordings. He is just one of the at least 4 headliners on this party, so he is a bonus if you've seen him.
