Gotta love the proper sets. I don't know how many times I DL'd/burnt the triple tag team from that night. I wish they would have recorded the Groove Attack parties. They had some epic sets from all genres.

The east coast science one.  I think the second one.  That was a huge influence on me when I was starting out with the jungles.  Totally wore out the cassette.  He used to be so fucking good!

Napoleonic complex... The couple of times I met him were totally different. Once he was cool and the gang. The other time I was with a friend who had known him since they were kids. When she called him Damien, his reply was "Don't call me that I'm Dieselboy!", and he meant it.

He still puts together a good mix, tho. Every1 has their things they think were better back in the day. A Soldiers Story is still my fav, hands down.

A lot of peeps were really into that one.  I never listened to it but I'll never forget the day I bought Soldiers Story I went to a skatepark with my friends immediately after and this dude was there with a massive sound system in his car.  We ended up scrapping the idea of skateboard and we sat in his car getting stoned to Dieselboy on full blast.  Once that track by Usual Suspects came on, I was going crazy.

I just remember police being all over that shit.  If I recall the police banned raves from taking place at that venue immediately after Proper.  Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have never seen a mix from there anywhere:(:(:(:(

Maybe the ppl who did the sound have them, but who knows?

i believe you are correct chad, with the neville ice arena to follow soon after...

and we kept trying to find more venues, that kept getting shut down before we could even throw an event there...

i miss those places... even though neville kind of destroyed my pants w/ soaking wet, ice cold plywood with rave goo all over it...

yeah... neville had a good story behind it though.  lol, kids finding puke in the penalty box, parents finding pills... good times.  unfortunately this can be attributed to promoters doing a shitty clean-up job - but hey, it's one for the books at this point.
